Pence Avoids Mention of Trump as He Addresses Young Conservatives in DC

In yet another speech outlining the future of the Republican Party and conservative values, former vice president Mike Pence resisted the opportunity on Tuesday to bat down the election fraud conspiracy theories espoused by his former boss, choosing instead to focus on what he sees as their shared visions for the future of the GOP.

“I don’t know if our movement is that divided,” he said, answering a question from a college student at the Young America’s Foundation’s National Conservative Student Conference in Washington, D.C.

The student from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania wanted to know whether the divide between Pence and former President Donald Trump over the future of the conservative movement extends to the rest of the Republican Party and its supporters and what could be done about it.

“I don’t know if the president and I differ on issues, but we may differ on focus,” Pence said, continuing to walk a tightrope between drawing a bright line between himself and the former president without criticizing him outright.

“I truly do believe that elections are about the future and that’s absolutely essential at a time when so many American families are hurting and so many families are struggling that we don’t give way to the temptation to look back,” Pence continued. “I think the time has come for us to offer a bold, positive agenda to bring America back and I’ll continue to carry that message all across this nation.”

In a thirty-minute speech that steered clear of Trump entirely, Pence hit on all the usual GOP talking points – anti-abortion laws, critical race theory, school choice, protecting the Second Amendment and campus cancel culture, among others – as he outlined his so-called “America First” agenda. He had been set to deliver the speech to the Heritage Foundation on Monday, but pulled out of the event at the last minute when his flight was canceled due to bad weather.

Notably, Pence’s comments – and his willpower to resist attacking Trump – come as the House Jan. 6 Committee amasses damning evidence against the former president and his inner circle over efforts to decertify or overturn the 2020 presidential election. That included vivid video of Pence being quickly ushered away from the Capitol that day as rioters spurred on by Trump closed in.

For now, Pence, who is packing his schedule with speaking engagements and looks poised to announce his candidacy for the 2024 presidential election, is biting his tongue.

“I couldn’t be more proud of the record of the Trump-Pence administration,” Pence said, adding that he “will always be grateful for the opportunity to serve as vice president.”

Trump, meanwhile, has been much less hesitant to slam Pence, calling him as recently as last month a “human conveyor belt” for not supporting efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.

“Mike Pence had a chance to be great. He had a chance to be frankly historic,” Trump said during a speech at a Faith and Freedom event in Nashville, Tenn. “But Mike did not have the courage to act.”

The two headlined competing events in Arizona over the weekend, where Trump spoke at a rally in support of Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake and U.S. Senate candidate Blake Masters, while Pence campaigned at two events alongside the other GOP candidate for governor, Karrin Taylor Robson, an attorney who has called for moving on from the 2020 election.

At the rally, Trump called the panel investigating the Jan. 6 riot a “hoax,” and denied the testimony shared during the most recent hearing, which focused on his actions and inactions as a violent mob breached the Capitol while Congress was trying to certify Joe Biden’s 2020 election win – a process that involved Pence evading rioters, some of whom had erected a makeshift noose and were chanting “hang Mike Pence.”

Pence is among a crowd of Republicans who are seeking to set the table for a 2024 run, while also avoiding direct mention or comparison with Trump. That includes former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. Only DeSantis has polled anything close to Trump’s numbers in surveys of voters about a possible 2024 run. DeSantis has also amassed a formidable campaign war chest of more than $100 million while maintaining he is solely focused on his race for reelection in the Sunshine State.

Trump is also set to speak in Washington on Tuesday at the America First Policy Institute, where he’ll deliver the capstone address to the group’s annual policy summit.

Hunter Biden Reneges on Request to Testify in Public Hearing After House Republicans Grant His Wish

President Joe Biden’s eldest son, Hunter Biden, has declined an offer from House Republicans to appear at a public hearing, contradicting his previous requests for such a hearing.

The decision was communicated on Wednesday by Biden’s attorney Abbe David Lowell, who conveyed his client’s opposition to the previously-sought after event in a letter acquired by The Daily Caller.

“Your blatant planned-for-media event is not a proper proceeding but an obvious attempt to throw a Hail Mary pass after the game has ended. Let me remind you of a statement you made about how witnesses—and specifically Mr. Biden—could satisfy your prior requests,” Abbe David Lowell wrote.

“At your press conference after the January 10, 2024, Committee hearing to hold Mr. Biden in contempt, you stated: ‘All we need are people to come in for the depositions and then we’ll be finished. We just need people to show up to the depositions and we’ll wrap this up. Nobody wants to wrap this up more than I do.’ Mr. Biden did just as you asked and, as you did when you announced that witnesses could choose depositions, you want to ignore what you said,” Lowell added.

Lowell insisted that a condition for Biden’s public hearing attendance was an investigation into former President Donald Trump’s family business dealings by the House Republicans.

A source informed the Daily Caller about the sequence of receiving the letter.

Lowell insisted that a condition for Biden’s public hearing attendance was an investigation into former President Donald Trump’s family business dealings by the House Republicans.

A source informed the Daily Caller about the sequence of receiving the letter.

“We just received it. They gave it to Punchbowl before providing it to Congress,” the source familiar said.

In response to the letter, Comer accused Hunter Biden of avoiding transparency.

“The House Oversight Committee has called Hunter Biden’s bluff. Hunter Biden for months stated he wanted a public hearing, but now that one has been offered alongside his business associates that he worked with for years, he is refusing to come … The American people demand the truth and accountability for the Bidens’ corruption,” Comer stated.

The controversy roots back to a subpoena issued by the House Oversight Committee in November, aimed at scrutinizing Hunter Biden’s foreign business transactions. Despite this, Biden opted for a public statement outside the Capitol, diverging from the scheduled closed-door deposition.

During a deposition on February 28, Hunter Biden, repeated he “did not recall” specific details of his foreign business engagements. Yet, he firmly stated his father’s non-involvement.

“I am here today to provide the committees with the one uncontestable fact that should end the false premise of this inquiry: I did not involve my father in my business, not while I was a practicing lawyer, not in my investments or transactions, domestic or international, not as a board member, and not as an artist, never,” Hunter Biden remarked in his opening testimony.

Presidential hopeful Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is reportedly eyeing potential running mates, with New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers and former professional wrestler and Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura at the forefront of his considerations.

Kennedy confirmed on Tuesday that Rodgers and Ventura are top contenders, although it remains unclear if formal offers have been extended.

Discussions are ongoing, and Kennedy continues to weigh a shortlist of candidates, sources familiar with the matter told The New York Times.

The independent candidate revealed ongoing conversations with Rodgers, noting a month-long dialogue, and with Ventura, who was introduced at a campaign event in Arizona last month.

Although there is no definitive confirmation on the composition of the RFK Jr. ticket, The Times reported the recent registration of the domain name kennedyrodgers.com.

While Kennedy had reportedly contemplated offering the position to figures like former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, Sen. Rand Paul, and Andrew Yang, talks with these individuals have either stagnated or they have declined the job, unlike the progress made with Rodgers and Ventura.

Rodgers, a vocal supporter of Kennedy’s candidacy, has engaged in continuous discussions with the candidate for the past month, per The Times.

Ventura, the former governor of Minnesota, expressed his efforts to steer RFK away from vaccine-related discussions in a November 2023 YouTube video. When asked about a potential VP offer, Ventura stated, “I would give it serious consideration, certainly.”

Social media responses reflected a mix of opinions regarding the potential presidential ticket.

Pedophiles Linked To John Podesta Have Been Arrested.

The Annex was a vast website where 100,000 pedophiles worldwide would ‘meet’ to share millions of videos and pictures of child sex abuse, on the dark web – a shadowy place, where sickening criminality was free to burgeon under the cover of anonymity. Three men, all very different, each unknown to each other in the real world, shared a depraved common interest online, swapping and facilitating the sharing of thousands of sick images and video content of children. The men that we’re talking about here were very much part of a team – a staff that you would expect to see within any business – that provided a platform and facilitated a community of pedophiles to encourage the abuse of children all over the world.
