What is Secret Service Trying to Hide About Kamala’s Recent Motorcade Accident?
Have you heard? Back on October 3, Kamala Harris was involved in a very minor car accident, but one that caused the entire motorcade to come to a standstill, and required medical personnel to check out Kamala. But that’s not the “story” here. It was a pretty standard “fender bender,” where a Secret Service agent over-corrected and hit the curb and destroyed the tire. After being checked out by doctors, Kamala was moved to a new car and she continued on her way to the White House.
But the actual story here is why did they initially appear to try to “hide” this story from the press and Americans, by calling the accident a “mechanical failure?”
That’s what many are concerned about and wondering right now.
Here’s a clip of the accident that was filmed by two (annoying) women who I am guessing live nearby.
Watch:
The New York Post reported that despite the VP’s SUV crashing, it was initially described by the Secret Service as a “mechanical failure” even in an alert to senior leadership explaining the motorcade’s delay, the Washington Post’s sources said.
Guglielmi blamed it on miscommunication.
“Initial radio traffic indicated this was a mechanical failure, and that was communicated to agency leadership by personnel supporting the motorcade movement,” he told the DC paper.
“After the protective movement was completed, leadership was verbally updated with additional pertinent facts that the vehicle struck a curb.”
However, Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle confided in allies that she was disturbed by the inaccuracy of the alert, an official with the service told the Washington Post.
The vice president is also said to be questioning how such an accident can happen given the high level of training given to her drivers, the sources said.
Harris’ spokeswoman, Kirsten Allen, told the paper: “The vice president sustained no injuries and appreciates the quick response by her [Secret Service] detail to get her to the White House safely.”
People on both sides are very suspicious about this “accident” and how it was labeled:
Well, I don’t think anyone was trying to “take out” Kamala by crashing into a curb, for crying out loud — and if you look at that tunnel, it’s pretty narrow.
But I do think it’s rather telling how officials are so dang quick to mislabel what it was… it was an “accident,” but they don’t want to call it that.
Why?
Well, I don’t think the answer is that complicated, really… I just think Team Biden wants as little coverage on Kamala as possible right now.
That’d be my guess.
